Learning Team
Unless we are learning, a needy world will leave us behind as irrelevant. We must always be discovering and adapting so that we truly live-out the Gospel in a world where the rate of change is increasing rapidly. Learning must never end!
The core value the Learning Team desires to instill within ourselves and within each missionary who joins IT is “learning”. Some of this learning takes place in a pre-field context; much more takes place, on a continuing basis, in the ministry location. Some is formal, some is more informal.
International Teams wants to encourage individuals, whom God has called to cross-cultural service, to learn how to become willing transplants into new cultures in which they seek to live and speak the Gospel. We want to encourage all IT missionaries to learn to become servants, like the Lord who has called us. And we want to encourage each other to always be active, inquisitive learners as we engage with people, their language, and their culture.
