Questions About Giving
What does ITeams believe about giving?
We believe God owns everything and He has made us to honor Him as responsible stewards. All of us who seek to follow the ways of Jesus must carefully and prayerfully consider how we are to use and invest the resources He has entrusted to us.
We want to raise the vision among God’s people for generosity and sacrifice—intentionally putting the needs of others above our own desires and needs. This is best lived out first by faithful giving to the Kingdom ministry of one’s own church fellowship. Beyond that, many great opportunities exist for impacting the world through investment in strategic ministries like those of International Teams.
International Teams is funded by the generous financial partnership of individuals, churches and foundations. As stewards of God's resources, we believe in treating the supporters of this ministry as partners, friends and team members. We carefully and ethically handle the gifts they entrust to us by maintaining appropriate systems of accountability and by seeking to maximize their intended use. We are a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
In more than 50 countries of the world opportunities exist to support individuals and families serving with International Teams as well as specific ministry projects. Donors may support these ministries of International Teams in a variety of ways.
How do I give?
Donations can be given to ITeams ministries by check, credit card, and electronic funds transfer (directly from a checking or savings account)
Are my gifts tax deductible?
Generally, yes. Since ITeams is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization, your donations to ITeams are tax deductible. However, personal gifts given directly to a missionary are not tax deductible.
Can ITeams accept gifts from outside of the United States?
We are able to receive a gift from anywhere in the world, if it is made using a credit card that we can accept. However, we can issue a tax receipt for United States tax purposes only. For this reason, if you reside in any of the following countries in which sister ITeams national organizations exist, you may prefer to give through these organizations: Canada, Australia, East Asia, Philippines, and the United Kingdom.

ITeams is a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and abides by all its strict requirements. An independent certified auditor conducst a full audit of all IT'sbooks every year. An independent Board of Directors conducts a budget approval process and review of finances annually. ITeams complies with all federal, state, and IRS regulations, submitting a 990 form annually.
Can I give gifts other than money?
Yes! ITeams will gladly receive stock gifts, new generation computers, automobiles (with certain new government restrictions), volunteered time, PRAYER, and by all means...please consider going and serving with your talents!
How much of my money actually goes where I designate?
International Teams makes every effort to honor donors' requests for the funds we receive. When we are unable to do so because a donor intends their gift for something currently outside of our ministry, we will seek to contact the donor regarding an acceptable designation.
When funds are designated for a specific missionary or project, a portion of those funds go to provide the essential services International Teams must supply to support that missionary or project. 85% of every designated gift goes directly toward the missionary or project for which it was designated. The remaining 15% supports that missionary or project indirectly through essential organizational services.
Of the fifteen percent, twelve goes toward the essential leadership, administration, and people development services provided by International Teams/USA support staff. Three percent goes toward necessary international leadership and support services, as well as the growth of new ministries.
