International Teams is committed to lifelong learning for all of our missionaries. With the wonderful resources provided through internet connectivity, we are able to enhance learning over great distances as we serve on so many different mission fields.

IT is in the process of constructing a distance learning (online) program. The program will consist of course work that is available online-both provided by IT, and through connections with partner educational institutions. Most of this instruction is focused on content.  

Beyond content, course instruction, IT is constructing distance learning that is interactive and formative. We are connecting missionaries to work groups who can communicate online in an interactive, exploratory and discussion format.  Experts throughout IT serve as coaches on areas of specialization such as refugees, urban ministry, reconciliation, recovery from abuse, etc.  

All the distance learning components are integrated into the personal plan of each missionary. The LifeMap calls for the missionary to not only identify strengths, passions, and life direction, but also identifies educational learning choices over the long-term. We want our missionaries to link their choices for lifelong learning to their LifeMap.
