International Teams believes that each of our missionaries should engage in lifelong learning.  We believe that the choices regarding learning opportunities should be directly related to their LifeMap, which is a personal development plan.

We also want to provide learning experiences, offered throughout the calendar year, at various locations around the world, focused on a variety of crucial topics. Learning experiences are gatherings of 12-18 IT missionaries for approximately one week to not only learn from a mentor on a particular topic, but also to engage in significant relationship, community, prayer, and reflection in a warm environment. The learning experience is successful in part because it is not only trying to "teach", but also allow for experience and interaction around the topic.  Learning experiences use case studies, practical "hands-on" opportunities, and interaction.  

We also encourage all of our missionaries to make a part of their LifeMap a plan for attending other non-IT conferences, seminars, educational opportunities, and continuing formal education.  We are extremely flexible with missionaries who have pursued higher education during their missionary career.
