LifeMap

At International Teams we value the unique way God has created each of His people. We don’t want to try to squeeze square pegs into round holes, we want each missionary to maximize their potential for building transforming communities. Towards this end we’ve developed a process called LifeMap by which each missionary takes a “snapshot” of their life thus far. LifeMap looks at various aspects of who God created us to be, key experiences in our journey this far, and the beginnings of a vision for the future.

The Apostle Paul says we are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. By looking at nine aspects of what makes each of us unique: character and spiritual formation, personality, strengths, spiritual gifts, values, passions, relationships, experience, and vision, we are better able to know what kinds of artwork we are and what works God may be calling us to do. This helps us make better decisions about what kinds of ministry we should be involved in, where we should be doing ministry, and how we can best fit in the team context.
