The writer of Ecclesiastes exhorts, “Relish your youthful vigor. Follow the impulses of your heart.” He says that as the years pile on, “your body no longer serves you so well…. you can’t come and go at will…. life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over.”
At International Teams we see a growing number of people saying “yes” to serving God in a cross-cultural setting. They are abandoning themselves and all their strength to His plan for their lives. A restlessness within and a nudge from God above catalyze a desire, a location, and a ministry. They go!
There is something so God-like in the chasing of one’s God-implanted passions! And for many, many people that means a life-altering adventure filled with surprise, opportunities to change a life, and the gentle, wild Spirit of God. It involves a trip of relatively short duration, to a place somewhere out there on God’s great globe, where real people with real lives are finding real help for what their hearts really need. Real ministry with street kids in Bolivia, at a church in Moscow, or in a remote African village—is happening, and you can be a part of it!
