I think a lot about transformation. This is a key element in our vision as an organization moving into the future. We believe that lives and communities are transformed by the power of God. In fact, we know that God can use one changed life to transform an entire community. Few passages of Scripture illustrate the transforming power of a changed life better than that of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1-42). One of the critical issues facing our world today is water. Without water, it’s impossible for life to exist. Within the Karamoja region of northern uganda, too many people still struggle to gain access to clean water. Many of the Karamojong people are without hope and most of the world is either unaware, or has written them off. —FACT—Access to clean drinking water is critical to fight poverty. Only three out of ten Karamojong have access to safe water and 82 percent live below the poverty line. Statistics show that water-borne diseases are one of the leading causes of infant mortality.
