OUR MISSION

To bring glory to God by ministering in a holistic manner to the needs of refugees and the host population with whom they co-exist, in order to restore them all to God, give them hope, nurture them in the wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and empower them to disciple one another and the world at large.

THE TEAM

We are a team of International Teams missionaries of different nationalities and local volunteers committed to serving the large African refugee population in Kenya.We also work in partnership with other local churches and agencies.

OUR MINISTRY - website

  • We lead regular adult and children Bible studies.
  • We teach English and literacy classes.
  • We do counseling and discipleship.
  • We organize outings, retreats, vacation Bible clubs, and other special events.
  • We host tea fellowships.
  • We visit homes and pray with families.
  • We baby-sit and play with kids.
  • We engage children in football and other sports.
  • We offer free transportation to women and children to and from their place of residence.
  • We encourage and assist in personal and community development initiatives.
  • We go to the refugee camp and research on ministry opportunities whenever possible.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

Health Coordinator
 

(preferably a medical practitioner)

  • To diagnose a refugee's health condition and provide treatment whenever possible.
  • To facilitate confinement to and discharge of refugees from health facilities whenever necessary.
  • To organize medical-dental missions.
  • To research on common diseases in Kenya and how they can be prevented.
  • To conduct seminars on AIDS awareness and prevention, family planning, health and sanitation, first aid, and other related topics.
  • To build a network of medical-dental contacts

Livelihood Initiatives Coordinator
 
  • To identify and establish key contacts among refugees, partner agencies, and churches with regards to the development of a livelihood initiatives ministry.
  • To research on the feasibility of various income-generating activities and community development projects that can benefit refugees.
  • To conduct seminars on how to start a project.
  • To guide, follow-through, and evaluate undertaken projects.
  • To build a network of business partners to help support livelihood initiatives.

Teachers
 
  • To teach the bible, English as a second language, adult literacy, computer skills, and other vocational courses.
  • To research on and employ teaching strategies helpful to the education of adult refugees who have never attended school.
