Our vision is to see a new generation of leaders in Cambodia engaged in holistic mission.

The primary purpose of the International Teams East Asia – Cambodia Teams (ITEACT) is to be a catalyst for the church in Cambodia to become engaged in fulfilling the Biblical mandate for holistic mission.

There are two major themes to our work: engagement ministries and equipping ministries. “Engagement ministries” are holistic ministries aimed directly to the community in response to a variety of spiritual, social, and physical needs. A critical component of these engagement ministries is the prophetic invitation to the church within Cambodia to become involved in this work. “Equipping ministries” are ministries aimed at the church, with the specific intention of expanding its capacity to itself engage in holistic mission throughout Cambodia and beyond.

We are based primarily in three major locations: Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, and Siem Reap.

The team for which this TEmP? has been developed is currently a very diverse team – both in terms of ministry focus and geographical location. We believe that God is leading us ultimately to differentiate into three separate teams – one serving as a base of operations in the capital city of Phnom Penh, one devoted to the operations of the Kampong Cham Youth Ministry Partnership; and one focused on ministry among the marginalized Vietnamese community. However, we do not believe that this process of differentiation will be finalized until 2009. This TEmP?, therefore, represents the 2008 strategic plan for our “mega-team.” Combined with the TEmPs? of other IT personnel serving in Cambodia (such as the team in Siem Reap), it represents the comprehensive plan for IT’s work in Cambodia in 2008.
