OUR MISSION

To help refugees lead lives of faith and service both among fellow refugees and local Austrians.

THE TEAM

We are a group of Christian refugees but open to all other refugees who wish to know the Lord Jesus Christ. All refugees are welcome regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, culture or color.
We have refugees who are Christians and lead the various FCR Communities spread throughout the nine states of Austria.

The uniqueness of the FCR is refugee to refugee discipleship.

The highlight of FCR's ministry is that it is refugee to refugee and emphasizes discipleship and service.

The Ministry skills and focus include: Kitchen and hospitality ministries; music and outreach; maintenance and service; mentoring and training.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

Mentors
 

We need mature Christians -refugees, local Austrians,and IT workers- who will walk alongside refugees in regular planned times to strengthen and encourage them in their spiritual growth and integration in Austria.

Ministry Leaders
 

We need IT workers, refugees or local Christians to work as ministry leaders in the following areas:
Training and Development - Develop material and implement programs that encourage spiritual growth, integration and cross-cultural understanding to reflect the vision and values of FCR. These pwith an emphasis on discipleship through both formal learning and active service.

Sports Outreach - organize sporting and recreational activities for health and fitness of refugees, teammates and others, including: relaxation exercises, walks, camping, outings, swimming, etc..

Music and worship -- provide training and leadership for the FCR Band (Christus Band ). organise concerts and other engagements for the Band, organise the production and distribution of any songbooks or recordings. Offer support and guidance to FCR communities across Austria.

Feeding, Kitchen and hospitality - responsible for the feeding program at the Diakonie in Traiskirchen and for the hospitality at FCR's Saturday meetings an other various programs. Train and Involve refugees to help in this area.

Book keeper -- Responsible for general administrative duties including the book keeping of FCR.

Facility Coordinator -- organize the general maintenance and cleaning of the facility at Guntramsdorf, including regular upkeep of the team van. Be responsible for the general maintenance of the plant, machinery and equipment as well as small handyman repairs.

Bible study -- organise or offer bible study opportunities. Where possible coordinate this with local churches.

We need church teams, interns or others willing to come and help in the various ministries of FCR (see Ministry Leader description). Kinds of teams could include a sports team, work team, music team, etc. If they are a specialized team, they must be equipped and prepared for that ministry (ie sports, music)

Kitchen/Refugee Feeding Program
 

Preparation and distribution of food for feeding refugees at the Life Center and also for the feeding program at the Diakonie and at other FCR feeding projects and programs.

To fund seminars,conferences,bible study,computer
training,purchase of training materials and equipment,German Language Classes,and intercultural programs for the Life Center.This covers Guntramsdorf and the other FCR Communities in other parts of Austria.
