OUR MISSION
We partner with local churches in Rome in order to extend hope and life to forcefully displaced people through ministries of presence, compassion, empowerment and training.

OUR MINISTRY - website
We are in the early stages of pioneering a new refugee ministry initiative in Rome, Italy. We plan to have our first teammates arrive on the ground in Rome by June 2006.
Thousands of refugees from Africa, Asia and the Middle East are surviving on the streets of Rome as they wait for the government to process their applications for asylum -a process that presently requires 2-3 years and during which they are not permitted to work or leave the country. The refugees need shelter, food and clothing as well as access to bathrooms, medical care, schools, etc. They feel unwanted and isolated, in need of caring relationships. Many come from countries where they have never had an opportunity to meet a follower of Jesus. Others are from traditional Christian backgrounds and need encouragement to not lose heart during this difficult time in their lives.
Many of the refugees in Rome today come from Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Iraq and Afghanistan.
We believe the Church needs to show up along the Refugee Highway in Rome. Italian church leaders have confirmed the need and their desire for IT to come and help them overcome their fear and prejudice and love the refugees and aliens in their communities.
We hope to have a pioneer leader and team on the ground in Rome by June 2006.
