OUR MISSION

We exist to see individuals, families and communities transformed by the power of God in the underserved ethnic neighborhoods on Chicago's west side. Our team works in partnership with ethnic churches in evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, art, and youth ministry while cooperating in the economic, social and educational development of the community.

THE TEAM

Mark and Jennifer have lived and served in North Lawndale for 20 years. Mark serves as the director of Urban and Ethnic Ministries and Jennifer is a college volley ball coach. Both are locally involved. Also in the neighborhood are Sally (serving since 1997), Shannon (serving since 1997), Nelia (serving since 2009), Noel and Ashley (serving since 2007) and Krista (serving since 2009). Shannon serves as the team leader. The team works in coordination with several local leaders, working together to create one, North Lawndale team.

OUR MINISTRY - WEBSITE

* We serve in the African American community of North Lawndale. * We work in partnership with local Churches to proclaim and demonstrate the Good News of the Kingdom through discipleship, leadership development, youth ministry, community development and living incarnationally in the neighborhood. * Our activities include after-school programs, tutoring, art, youth clubs, summer day camps, and job training. We also host Urban Immersion experiences for outside groups which focus on themes of justice, unity, and issues of reconciliation within the church.
