New Zealand - Auckland

The New Zealand Refugee Team purposes to walk alongside of local churches of New Zealand offering development, support, guidance and a challenge for involvement in local and international cross cultural missions to refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities.

The New Zealand Refugee Team began by working in partnership with the New Lynn Bible Chapel. A team of church members was formed that worked with the New Zealand Refugee and Migrant Services arm of the government to help resettle five refugee families that entered the country through the quota system. The team continues their relationships with these families. Linda and I continue to support this team but have handed over leadership to the team.
We are beginning new partnerships and purpose to walk alongside other local churches of New Zealand offering support, guidance and a challenge for involvement in local and international cross cultural missions to refugees and ethnic minorities. We are fostering relationships both with churches that have a heart for refugees already and with those to whom this is a new ministry opportunity.
